Dragon Quests, DQ, What are they?

Dragon Quests, or DQ for short, are quests given out every ten levels starting at 21 and are used to give players rare rewards for difficult quests. The first time I tried these I actually made my first perfect world friend that I quested with after we were finished and it was the best time of my entire perfect world experience. Enough about my sappy pathetic life though, more about DQ shall we?

There are ten parts to every Dragon Quest and the tenth part rewards you with a Dragon Order. Once you get the Dragon Order you can restart the quest if you’d like or go onto the next one if you are of the level requirement. Dragon Orders are used to get mounts, molds, and other rare or legendary items from the Dragon Herald NPC you might have seen in the starting area for your race.

Most items need many Dragon Orders so you might want to keep the extra items you got the first time around if you choose to redo the quest for another Dragon Order. It shouldn’t take you that long to do the quest if you find the items and kill the boss in good time, and recruiting friends to help always makes it go by faster.

Ten Steps, Ten Quests.

The ten steps are the same for each Dragon Quest (not literally the same mind you, just what you need to do with substituted items or monsters). No requirements means there is nothing extra to do such as kill a certain number of monsters or find so many items, usually you just have to talk to a specific NPC. They are as follows;

1. Hidden Dragon- No requirements

2. Sweeping Tail- Find DQ Item required

3. Gliding Dragon- No requirements

4. Diving Dragons- Kill Monsters or you pay a fee (Recommendation: Kill, don’t pay)

5. Occasional Encounter- Find the DQ item required

6. Dragon Lord- Find the required amount of DQ item

7. Wise Retreat- No requirement

8. Dashing Dragons- Find DQ item requirement

9. Dragon and Phoenix- No Requirement

10. Overwhelming Power- Kill final boss or bosses (2 in the 21 DQ, 1 in the rest)

Dragon Quest Bosses

So the picture above tells you the basic information on each boss but it may not be large enough for everyone to read. I’ll give a basic rundown here, with only names, location, how many, and the level of the bosses. The first DQ is just simple monsters but the other ones are boss monsters, specific ones designed to kill you… Basically you should bring a friend along unless you are certain you can defeat it on your own.

Items and Values for the Dragon Quests

Dragon Quest Items (DQ)

Same with the boss section, might not be fully readable so I’ll put some of it down here that I think is most important. I’ll list the 6 items and the number used, value you can get on your own if you want it. Also don’t go out and get a bunch of each, this is just telling you what to expect during your Dragon Quest, so you can look up who drops them or if you have some you might keep it just to see if you need it.

DQ20
~Need 5, Antenna, Disguise Skin, Element Dust, Mystical Meat, Rhino Horn, Soft Fur

DQ31
~Need 10, Complete Sack, Dew of Herbs, Dull Claw, Element Fragment, Honey Juice, Mystical Claw

DQ41
~Need 10, Big Buck, Claw, Dew Orb, Element Stone, Mystical Blood, Rubybead Herb

DQ91
~Need 25, Compound Venom, Element Light, Find Orb, Ginseng Fruit, Mystical Orb, Underspring Water

Tada, Not So Hard, Right?

Once you complete the tenth step you take it to the NPC it tells you to and then you get your Dragon Order. Each level of the Dragon Quest (20, 31, 41, 51, etc.) are given out by different NPC’s which I will not name here but if you would like it added I will. Have fun with your Dragon Questing and make sure you ask any questions if you have them, although I haven’t completed any of them besides the level 20 (halfway through the 31 when I quit that character to make a new one because of stat messups).

How to Obtain Soul Leaves- Forsaken World

How to Obtain Soul Leaves- Forsaken World

What are soul leaves?

Soul leaves are the equivalent of the soul coins in Forsaken world. Just like soul coins are bound to the player and can’t be traded and items bought with them can’t either, soul leaves are bound to that player and can’t be traded away if you buy something with them. The other form of leaves are normal Eyrda leaves, which are bought with real life money or prepaid card or earned from surveys on the perfect world website. (Do be careful if you try those, not all of them are reputable, some give viruses, and you aren’t guaranteed to get the zen you thought.)

Soul leaves are bound to the player, so you don’t have to worry about accidentally buying something on one character (like a pet stone or something) and your other characters lose any soul leaves. This does mean that any soul leaves you earn can’t be given to another player though, since they are bound.

What can I buy with soul leaves?

Soul leaves can buy items in the Eyrda boutique, but not all of them. Currently you can only buy pet stones, fashion, and racial mounts (for the most part). There are other items that could be added, when you open the boutique (the leaf icon) there should be an option called Soul Leaves/Leaf or you can just make the regular leaves filter off when looking through the items.

If you can’t buy a card, use a credit card, or don’t have the time to get a lot of surveys done this is actually a great alternative to normal leaves. If you do want the items only bought with normal leaves then you’ll have to find a way to get those, but mounts, pets, and fashion should be reward enough.

How do I get Soul Leaves?

There are quite a few options to get soul leaves, many available at low levels but of course the higher you get the more options become available.

There are some you can only get ONCE, and they are the following;

Guide: Life in the harbor= 40 Soul Leaves
Guide: Nightmare Carnival= 40 Soul Leaves
Guide: God’s Trial= 80 Soul Leaves
Guide: Learn to Fly= 40 Soul Leaves
Guide: Faction Reputation= 40 Soul Leaves
Guide: Trade= 40 Soul Leaves
Guide: Pet Journey= 80 Soul Leaves
Guide: Vice and Virtue= 80 Soul Leaves
Guide Ghostfang Castle= 80 Soul Leaves
Guide: Wade’s Fishing Hole= 80 Soul Leaves
Guide: Mounted Combat= 80 Soul Leaves
Guide: Break the Limit= 120 Soul Leaves

That gives you a total of 800 Soul Leaves (Almost enough for a racial mount, or a couple pet stones). They can be found on the Leveling guide screen (small icon above the mini map) and usually require only talking to an NPC and then doing the instance or talking to a few NPCs. It is usually an introduction to a feature on the game that you would be wise to continue doing again if you like the reward offered.

There’s also a list of repeatable ways to obtain some soul leaves, not given every time but by random chance (and a small one at that) and usually only is given once a week. This is an incomplete and work in progress list, more will be added as the game progresses (hopefully) so although I’ll try to keep up, I may not have all the ways on this.

Gauntlet of Storms- Random chance when getting rewards after each room= 500 soul leaves
Nightmare Carnival- random chance= 500 soul leaves
Advanced Nightmare Carnival- random chance= 500 soul leaves
Master and Apprentice- Soul leaves for each level of master rep gained, scales up with each level= ~5,000 soul leaves awarded at level 7
240 Dedication- just obtain 240 dedication in a week= 300 Soul leaves

The two carnival instances have a slightly higher chance of giving on the higher reward days (Saturday for the normal one, I don’t know on the Advanced one) so that would be a good place to start if you don’t like the carnivals (mostly rumor since I haven’t gotten the reward myself). I’ll be working on a hub on how to get dedication points, as well as the master/apprentice feature and guide on the two nightmare carnival instances. That should have you with the coolest items you couldn’t get without spending money before, all by doing normal things you probably did anyway.

Whats new in Cataclysm? LOTS! Blizzard is basically re-inventing the game with this new expansion, with new features ranging from new race/class combinations to completely re-vamping the talent trees and glyph systems, as well as implementing more raid content and brand new secondary professions!

New races: The Horde will gain access to a new playable race, Goblins, and the Alliance gain access to another new playable race, Worgen.

New raid content: New instances and raids will be made available to players including the the remaking of many classic instances such as Deadmines which will now be available in “Heroic” mode! Other new areas are also being made available such as Uldum, Grim Batol, and Vashj’ir.

Level 85: Players will now be able to obtain level 85, up from level 80.

Max level advancement: Previously, in the game once a player had reached the highest level, or the level “cap” the only way to better his/herself in the game was to get better gear/loot or maybe twink their enchants. With the release of Cataclysm Blizzard has announced a new system they will be implementing to allow players to continue bettering their characters long after reaching the maximum level. The system will be called “Path of the Titans” and it will essentially allow players to choose a path, and work towards rewards of their chosen path to increase the power of their character via several different ways, including opening up access to new Ancient glyph slots, and the ancient glyphs themselves. ( If you follow the lore of the game with the release of Ulduar we recently learned a little more about the titans)

An outline of guild advancement.

Ways to earn Guild experience.

Ancient Glyphs: Along with the new “path of the
titans” they have announced they will be implementing “Ancient glyphs”.
These are slightly different than the glyphs players are familiar with
currently, in the sense that there really is no “Class specific”
glyphs, its up to the player to mix and match what glyph will best suit
you. You can NOT obtain these, or the slots for these glyphs until
unlocking them via the Path of the Titans after reaching level 85. An
example of these glyphs would be something similar to “20% increased
damage on next attack following a critical strike”.

Archaeology:
A new secondary profession being added in the expansion which will be
used to advance in the path of the titans, aswell as other unique
rewards and treasures.

A third example.

Guild experience/currency/advancement:
There are MANY new additions to the guild system in this expansion
ranging from talent trees, guild profession recipes and bank
options. These new features are meant to make playing as a guild more
fun, and to encourage players to enjoy the game to the fullest.

Guild recipes:
Players who own their own guild may purchase guild profession recipes
for all professions which, after being purchased, may be trained by all
guild members via their profession trainer. If a player leaves the
guild, naturally the recipe is lost and can no longer be used. These
recipes can also be used to make guild “Heirloom” items which are bound
to the guild.

Guild talents: Your guild will be able
to earn experience, by many means including leveling, pvp rank, boss
kills, however this experience can be spent in a manner very similar to
the current characters talent trees, with one major difference, and
that is this talents will effect every member of the guild. Each level
your guild earns will also earn it one talent point available for
spending in these trees. There are several different types of these new
talents , one example of which is “Mass resurrection” which is as the
name suggest a mass resurrection of all players in the guild. As you
can imagine this will be a GREAT help with raids!

Bank funds:
Guilds owning a guild bank, when killing a boss will automatically have
a percentage of the gold deposited straight into the guild bank. This
gold is NOT taken from the gold the monster would normally drop, but is
actually an ADDED percentage to his normal amount. For example, if your
guild goes and kills Ragnaros and he normally drops 100 gold, an extra
10% or so will automatically be deposited without touching the said 100
gold. This is a great addition to game. It allows guilds to fully
benefit all of their members without having to “tax” players for
everything or require constant donations.

Old features re-vamped:
Blizzard announced that one thing they really are trying to do with the
game is actually go back to the current talent trees and more or less,
simplify them. They claim that some talents are trying to “do three
things at once” and that it has kind of gotten out of hand. They intend
to cut back on talents that are “required” to do your job properly,
whether it is dealing damage, healing, tanking etc. An example of these
talents would be something like “Cruelty” which is a 1% critical hit
bonus per talent point. Who would pass that up!? Thats exactly their
point, they want players to be able to do their jobs well and still be
able to get those “fun” talents aswell.

In addition to trying to
simplify the talent trees they have announced they will be introducing
a new “Mastery” type skill which will be completely unique to every
classes talent tree. This “mastery” skill will change with your respecs
aswell. For example, if i am an arms spec warrior and my master skill
gives me +5% critical strike, and i go respec to protection, the
mastery will change to reflect that and give me the bonus intended for
that tree.

An example given by the developers at Blizzcon 2009 of
this new “mastery” would be if you have 51 points in the assassination
tree as a rogue your master would be something like an additional 5%
damage from poisons, although they also said this was not for certain
and was only an example.

A Beginner’s Guide to World of Warcraft Terms and Acronyms

You emerge from the wilds, staking claim in your new city, a champion among champions. All those wolves you’ve had to kill and Kobolds you’ve stolen candles from, they have culminated in your ability to reach the final destination where you will hang your cloak and warm yourself by the hearth. The sprawling city lies before you, and you will make a name for yourself, given the time. You head to the nearest building, wondering where your adventure will take you when-

My first ever Nightmare that I caught myself
Source: Myself, the Author of this Hub

What is a Nightmare?

A nightmare is a flaming horse that you fight as one of the first monsters in the Lunagrant Woods in the game, Forsaken World. This area is for level 40 players and up and has a wandering soul known as Nightmare. That’s what this guide is about, telling you how to catch and tame the Flamed Pony. So first make sure you have a tamer at level 40 (at least) so you can enter the Lunagrant woods and fight the soul without dying (It helps to have a team, but not necessary).

How To Find and Capture The Nightmare Soul Pet

So now that you know where (Lunagrant Woods), you need to know the location in Lunagrant Woods and what time to find it. You see, wandering souls are not the kind of souls you get from killing monsters. A good hint is if it has a rock looking icon near it’s picture when you target the monster, if it does you might get a soul if not then it doesn’t drop one. Now, you can stop slaughtering the Nightmare if that’s how you thought you would catch one because it isn’t.

As the name implies, wandering souls are souls that instead wander around a map until they are caught or defeated and then they respawn later. Nightmare has a spawn time of four hours so although I don’t know when it will show up on any given day, if you know when it was last tamed it will be four hours after that. It also isn’t effected by realms either, so if you want you can check every realm every 15 minutes until you find one (or whatever time frame you choose).

The actual location is shown below this text, so look there to know where to look. When you get there just look around for the blue ghost looking horse in the photo above or the smaller one on the right to see what you should be looking for. This doesn’t mean the soul will be a blue pet (quality wise) as it is most likely going to be green, white doesn’t happen. It’s called Valley of Hope, so you can try to stay in that area and not wander too far away and still wonder where the soul is.

See all 4 photos
Location in Lunagrant Woods where the soul wanders around.
Source: Forsaken World HQ

I found the Nightmare Soul, Now what?

Now you battle. The soul must have less than 50% health in order to be tamed, and you have to watch to make sure nobody in your team (if you have one) kills it before you can tame it. If that means recalling your pet or some heated fights, go right ahead, just don’t let the nightmare die.

If you find someone battling the soul already, you should probably leave them alone to get it themselves, which brings me to my next point. Do not assume since you are battling it that you can tame it, ANYONE CAN STEAL THE SOUL FROM YOU! I’m not saying that a ninja will jump out of the trees and tame the nightmare, but keep an eye on your mini map and zoom out on it a bit to look for other players.

If someone steals your soul, yell at them if you want to just don’t be a jerk about it. Even though its a jerk thing to steal someone else’s soul, it isn’t illegal in the game so you can’t do much except wait four hours for it to respawn.

Hopefully this helped you find and capture the nightmare soul, I was waiting until I actually caught one so I didn’t spill out rumors or false items. More wandering soul hubs to come as I reach them in my Forsaken World Journey. Remember to fight against the Storm Legion everyone!

What do Botanists do?

Well, just like in real life Botanists know a ton about plants. Learning this skill (which requires a job point) magically allows you to know what each plant is and the spade the tutor gives you allows you to harvest them.

This skill is useful for the other two beginning jobs (cook and alchemist) as you can harvest the plants yourself instead of having someone else get them for you or buying them. You learn it from Daise in the same area as the other beginning tutors. She’s almost right in front of Rachel the Pet Dealer (she gave you your first pet).

Botany Experience Level Guide

Botanists need to level up just like any other job, this one is as easy as collecting plants of your level or one below (you get two experience points for the same, one point for a plant of one level lower).

Level 1: Use a job point with Daise in Freedom harbor

Level 2: 20 experience points.

Level 3: 100 experience points.

Level 4: 300 experience points.

Level 5: 700 experience points.

Level 6: 1200 experience points.

Level 7: 2000 experience points.

Level 1 Botany Plants

The first level of Botany lets you collect the plants around the Kalaires Plain map (the area around Freedom Harbor). Here there are the plants used to make level one alchemy potions so harvest plenty, here’s the list.

Wild Rose (WR)- This looks like a bright white rose in the ground.

Lavender (L)- This looks like a small blueish purple bush.

There is also a recipe called red rose that requires 50 roses, a short walk north of alchemy tutor that gives you the quest will bring you to an NPC that sells the recipe.

Level 2 Botany Plants

Violet Kelp (VK on Map 1 also in map 2 group)- This plant is usually underwater and glows a bright red.

Date Palm- Looks like a giant thick palm tree, disappears when harvested, just a stump.

Parchment Grass- Looks a lot like the regular grass around the area, but sticks out a little.

Banker Safe Expansion Quest; Gather the Materials Items Needed to Increase Safe Slots Perfect World International (PWI)

Banker Safe Expansion Quest; Gather the Materials Items Needed to Increase Safe Slots Perfect World International (PWI)
Source: Perfect World International Logo

Uh oh, my safe’s full!

So if you actually use your bank safe to store items you don’t need in your inventory or are saving for a future character, or whatever reason you may find that it doesn’t hold all that many items. I personally use it to hold my celestones, celestone fragments, gems, rare items I don’t want to sell or use just yet, and sometimes I’ll put a pet or two in there if I like them. The 16 slots soon fill up (usually by level 20 I’m running out of spaces) and I’m stuck with either keeping more in my inventory and risking accidental selling or selling the items that I feel I need the least.

There is a solution though! I didn’t discover this for awhile as I assumed all the banker quests were requiring items from the boutique and therefore required real life money, but I accidentally clicked one and I was like… “whoa those are monster drops,” and so I tried to complete it. It’s actually a pretty simple quest and I recommend getting it when you first enter your home city for your race (or whenever you find the banker). You might not be able to complete it until you are around level 20, exception being if you risk getting killed and picking up other people’s drops on high level monsters or if you have a friend give you the items.

Gather the materials #1, from 16 to 24 slots.

The first time you get the banker’s quest “Gather the Materials” he tells you to collect 6 different items with 5 of each of them. Some of them are pretty easy to come by while others may have you killing a specific monster for a good hour or so (more or less depending on luck). If you want to know where to find them I provide a link to my location hub at the bottom of the page, right before the comments.

~Mystical Meat
~Disguise Skin
~Element Dust (not Element Powder)
~Soft Fur
~Antenna
~Rhino Horn

Gather The Materials #2, from 24 to 32 slots.

Now you’ve done the first Gather the Materials and found it was a piece or cake, or not, and decide you want to do the second one just for giggles and laughs (or the extra space). This one is a bit trickier although you can kill mostly the same monsters that drop the first quest’s items around Archosaur. Instead of 5 of each items it doubles to 10 but it shouldn’t be all that hard now that you are a big and tough character instead of a newbie.

~Mystical Claw
~Complete Sack
~Element Fragment
~Dull Claw
~Honey Juice
~Dew of Herbs

Some of those you may even have picked up already if you killed the monsters around Archosaur either for the fun of it or for General Summer’s questing.

Need to know more, like locations of those items?

Pet Tamer Quest (Venomancer) How to Increase/Expand Your Pet Bag Slots- Perfect World International (PWI)

Pet Tamer Quest (Venomancer) How to Increase/Expand Your Pet Bag Slots- Perfect World International (PWI)
Source: Perfect World International Logo

I want this pet, but have no room.

Hello there reader! If you are reading this most likely you ran into the problem of not having enough pet bag slots for all the pets you want or you just want to increase them anyway without spending real life money. This is written mostly for Venomancers since they are the ones who use pets more often, but other classes can do the quest too if you want more than two all class pets. The Quest can be found from any pet manager under quests, increase pet bag, find food.

Gather Hay- Monster List

The first pet bag expansion is available at level 7 and increases your slots to 3. In order to complete this quest you need to find 20 Hay which sounds a lot easier than it can be.

Assuming you get the quest at around level 10 there is a monster that drops it right outside of Broken Bridge Village. It’s the highlands tortoise in the river around the bridge that drops the little hay slivers for you. I spent at least 6 hours and gained 4 levels (18-22 I think) killing the turtles until I finally had my 20 hay.

There are more monsters that drop hay at higher levels but if you want to get it as soon as possible the Highlands Tortoise is a good option. Most of the other monsters are Moorcrawler Hornshell, Amphibian Turtle, Antelope Pup, King Carapest, Molten Dodnix, Stubborn Dodonix, Abyssal Mystery, Longhorned Carapest, Rhinodrake Megalith, Terrorclaw, and Pale Archilich.

Gather Fruit- Monster List

Second time around requires the collection of 50 Fruit for your fourth pet bag slot, enough for most people unless you are a collector of unique pets. By the time you get to this quest you should be at Archosaur so if you got your first slot early just do your normal quests until you are a high enough level to kill these guys.

Some of the monsters are Giant chisler, Abysal Protector, Seaview Chisler, Echomaid, Death Dancer, Vipion Wander, Emerald Vipion, Vipion Sentinel, Solar Vipion, Shores Turtle, Tortoise of the Ages, Praco, Aged Turtle, Cloudweaver Ptero, and Dodopod. There are more Vipion listed so if you see one not on the list it might drop them.

Gather Fungus- Monster List

Finally you have to gather 100 Fungus and will have 5 pet slots, which should give you enough pets to keep you busy. That’s good for a flying pet, underwater or swimming pet, an attack based pet, a defense or tank pet, and an all class pet or just a favorite you want to keep.

I haven’t done this quest yet so nothing I tell you is from experience so don’t ask about this quest in the comments if you would have to have done it before to answer. Either way, here are some of the listed monsters that drop Fungus. Ultrafin protector, Ripe Cactopod, Antelope Sage, Etherpod Tortoise King, Indulgent Flametoe, Merman Weaver, Watcher of the Skies, Clam Scout, Dragonmaid, Cloudrider Falcon, Undying Hornshell, Carrion Vulture, Tragic Gatekeeper, and Falcom Howler.

More Slots, Wild Ginseng

There is also a quest to find 150 Wild Ginseng but apparently that is not worth your time or effort to find and complete the quest. If I ever get that far I might add in a few monsters but not until I see for myself how ‘worth it’ the quest is.

HEY! Did you only find half of the items you need or it’s just taking too long to find all of them? If you are made of money or just feel like wasting your precious coins instead of working for your pet bag you can look for a catshop that sells the items. Usually right in the West District of Archosaur you can find shops that sell anything you want, just try to look around for cheaper items before you spend that coin.

Need more slots after you do all of the pet manager’s quests? Each pet bag is 2 gold and you can upgrade your bag to a total of 10 slots so if you do the three quests I mentioned and include the two you start with you would spend quite a bit of gold to fully upgrade your pet bag. There is the super cage but that should be used when you don’t want to even do these quests, or if you just feel like spending extra money.

Forsaken World Pet Guide- Locations and Level Requirements

Forsaken World Pet Guide- Locations and Level Requirements

What are Pets? Why do I need one, or can I go without it?

If you’ve played an mmo with pets before you may have a bit of an idea how it works. Pets are there to aid your character with fights, and some are even useful for acting as a ‘tank’ and can be used to focus the enemy’s attacks on the pet instead of you. Although it helps to choose a pet that will compliment your character’s attack style, it doesn’t seem to effect it all that much in the beginning.

Pets are obtained by incubating a pet stone, a literal stone that holds the pet inside. If you get a stone from another player it may be already incubated as tamers get experience for their job by incubating them. Otherwise you just incubate it yourself and just wait for it to be ready. Once you finish incubating it, just right click it from inside your bag and bind it to you if you haven’t already (this makes it so other people can’t use the pet so don’t do this if you plan on giving it to someone else!). It will then show up in the pet interface and can be called/recalled for battle. I’ll go into more detail eventually in a pet specific hub, but for now you can find the locations of the pets here. (If I’m missing any or there is an error please comment it so I can fix it.)

I haven’t gotten all that far in the game and will add in things as I get to it but I figured I’d make this little guide to help people locate that pet they saw someone else have. Enjoy and I hope it’s helpful. I’m also in the middle of organizing it in a different way as a ton were added in my absence from the game. This will help keep it easier to find what you want and should keep photos lined up with the description.

What does this mean?

In this guide I basically give you the bare minimum to know about the pet location wise, as well as what it eats.

??? Means I don’t know or can’t find the answer to this section (Source saying the answer would be appreciated although I could just have not looked in awhile)

Level means the minimum level the pet can be incubated. (Must be incubated by another player if you don’t want to wait, usually will be if traded so they get a trainer point)

Strength level distinguishes the different kinds of pets’ values (Higher strength level, better strength the pet has, aka turtle isn’t as good as a wind puppet)

Food means the type of food that they eat, meat, snacks, or element. They can be found from the Pet Dealers in Freedom Harbor and as of December 23, 2012 you can hold 1000 of each type of food in one space (It used to be around 20 I believe before it used another bag space.)

Location means the actual location of the soul or monster you can get the soul from, or it says Eyrda Boutique which is the cash shop for the game (uses real life money).

Final Words

That’s the list, I’ll keep updating it as I find more. Please give any sources for new pets they add if I don’t put them up for awhile after they’ve been available. I also am not putting any holiday or event ones on there, this is for ones you can get now. I may put holiday ones on a separate hub if I get enough of them or they seem to be happening every year (or even just rumored that it will happen again).

Banker Quest – Gather The Materials, Locations of Items in Perfect World International (PWI)

Banker Quest - Gather The Materials, Locations of Items in Perfect World International (PWI)
Source: Perfect World International Logo

Where the bleep do I find this item?

Alright so most likely you have the Gather The Materials quest from the banker to upgrade your ever so tiny safe storage with him. If you haven’t just go to any banker and in the quest section under safe expansion there is a gather the materials option, click it. Now you have a list of items to gather for him, but where can you find them without having to go halfway around the map and back? I’ll tell you if you just scroll down a teensie bit and read further.

Gather the Materials #1 Generalized Monsters for Race Locations

Since there are 5 races at the time of this hubs original posting and each race starts in a different area of the map I will not be naming specific monsters but will instead give generalized lookalikes for you to kill. And they are as follows:

Mystical Meat- Found on Wraiths (little gnome looking guys), Eldergoths, and Tuskmoors

Disguise Skin- Found on Rouges, those zombie looking monsters with swords or bows.

Element Dust- Found on Blobs and Cactopods

Soft Fur- Found on pretty much anything, Snakes, Lynx, Sables, basically the furred creatures.

Antenna- Found on Spiders and Centipedes

Rhino Horn- Found on Rhinodrakes (the hippo rhino things) and Turtles

Also keep in mind these are dwindled down generalized lists of monsters that drop them and not every monster in that class could drop it. So if you kill a ton of them and don’t get any dropped please don’t complain to me, I’m only trying to help you and give you a push in the right direction.

Gather the Materials #1 Archosaur Locations

Say you didn’t get the quest until after you are already in Archosaur or you want to sell all your items to get as much money as possible before you start this quest. Here are a few monsters that are around Archosaur that drop the items for the first Banker quest. Enjoy my readers, enjoy.

Mystical Meat- Found on Werewolf Spearman

Disguise Skin- Found on Venomous Ghoul

Element Dust- Found on Arboride Dryads

Soft Fur- Found on Quillhog Enchanters

Antenna- Found on Gesttone Centipex King

Rhino Horn- Found on Tectonic Rhinodrake

Gather the Materials #2 Archosaur Locations

Since you will most likely be at the Archosaur part of the quest line or close to it I won’t be putting generalized race locations for this quest. I don’t even think you can find them on those monsters anyway, so let’s just do the area around Archosaur then shall we?

Mystical Claw- Found on Werewolf Spearman

Complete Sack- Found on Pyrogolth Apprentice and Venomous Ghoul

Element Fragment- Found on Arboride Dryads, and there’s a quest to get them off Blobs of Rebirth so I usually get the 10 for this quest and the 5 for that one all at once. (It’s West of the Orchid Temple).

Dull Claw- Found on White-eyed Wolfkin

Honey Juice- Found on Gesttone Centipex and the Dual-Bladed Centipex

Dew of Herbs – Found on Tectonic Rhinodrake

These are also just a limited list of monsters, there are more on higher levels and usually the ‘upgraded’ monster will drop the item too. Example, Venomous Ghoul and Greater Venomous Ghoul. Greater is the ‘upgraded’ version but I’m not sure about it dropping Complete sack as well.
