Well, first off you must go to your stylist with an open mind. The more positive you are when you walk in the more likely you will leave with positive results. It is good to have an idea of what you want. You can take pictures of styles you like, and a picture of your dress is also good inspiration for your stylist as well. Something to understand is your ideas and pictures are just that, inspiration. The person in your picture might not have the same hair as you, so it is likely that your hair will not look exactly like this photo or even what you have pictured in your mind. A stylist is an artist and if you let them use the creativity that they have with the inspiration you have brought them you should definatly be satisfied with the end result. To wash or not to wash? Washing your hair the day before is a good idea. Clean soft hair is not exactly the best material to work with when trying to manipulate the hair into a style that needs to hold up for the whole day or night. So dirty is good. If you absolutley have to wash it though, its not that big of a deal. The stylist can always dirty the hair up with product. I hope this helps answer some questions and ease some minds. Enjoy your event and don’t stress so much on the hair. If you go to the salon stressed and too demanding, you will probablly stress the stylist out too. This is not a good emotion to have when you are trying to get the creative juices flowing so try to keep that in mind and try to comunicate as clearly as you can. Ask questions and talk to your stylist about what she or he is doing.
